Set in the lush, rolling hills of Bunyip, West Gippsland, Kellbury Park Alpacas was established in 2008. We have a small herd and our philosophy is that quality is more important than quantity. We have a variety of colours ranging through the Alpaca Fleece Colour Spectrum from white to light fawn, grey, brown, true black and appaloosa. Our aim is to continually improve the quality of the alpacas that we breed through the use of the best available breeding genetics. The success of this breeding program is shown through the continual lowering of micron, increase in lustre, improved handle as well as an increase in density and comfort factor.
The Incas described alpaca fleece as a gift from the gods. We want to make those gifts readily available to everyone.
We offer full after sales support and service to all our customers.
Born into a long line of market gardeners and farmers, Chris grew up on a farm, although alpacas are a whole new experience, or should we say, addiction. With a background in Management Accounting and Stock Control, as well as a lifetime of farm talk, Chris has a lot to offer to the partnership.
With a background in civil drafting, Russ started his career as a draftsman in a fibreglass factory. He has since been involved with all facets of fibreglass. Because of his practical talent and ability, Russ has applied his ‘hands on’ talent to farmwork and its entire infrastructure with great success. Russ has always had a passion to live and work on the land and is thoroughly enjoying the experience of being a farmer.
